Baby Gift Baskets for the New Baby!
To all who don’t know, I will be having my first child on May 28, 2008. I am currently 5 months pregnant and my husband and I will find out the gender of our new baby on Friday. We are so excited!
To give a little background, my husband and I decided earlier this year that we wanted to get pregnant by October of last year. We wanted to have a summer baby, therefore I needed to get pregnant by late last year.
Well, it happened about 2 months before we had planned. I actually conceived in August of ‘07.
Now, here’s the fun part; I didn’t know I was pregnant until the end of October. So, I actually missed the entire 1st tri-mester of my pregnancy. After learning that I was pregnant, I immediately decided that I wanted a girl.
I started looking for names and this is what I’ve come up with:
If it’s a girl, her name will be London. If it’s a boy, his name will be Taylor. We want a girl!
Now that we’re in January, my best friend, sister, and I are starting to plan for the baby shower. We have decided that the date of the shower will be on May 5. I want it to be co-ed, therefore we’ll have lots of guys and gals at the shower. I am inviting about 100 people. I know that sounds kind of high, but I’m inviting allot of people so that we can receive lots of gifts. Most people won’t show up, but some will send gifts anyway.
I’ve officially decided that I’m not going to go the inexpensive route when putting together my baby gift registry. Since I always buy really good gifts for people, I’m going to select quite a few expensive items for our baby.
One of the items I’ve decided I want is the “Little Princess” gift basket. It’s a nice 8-piece gift set that I know London will look really good in.
I also want a gift especially for my husband and I. Since he and I both enjoy wine, the ‘First Love’ White Blend gift would be icing on the cake. Him and I would enjoy the wine and London would enjoy the baby goodies.
The day our baby arrives in this world, my heart will jump for joy. Our new baby will bring smiles to our faces. We are ready to celebrate the big day, with great big baby gifts!
