The Basket Spot

Unfortunately, I was one of the many people who had a hard time picking Christmas gifts this holiday season. Normally, I write out my list of recipients by early October and I also include a couple of gifts that I would like to buy for them. This year, I had a total of 12 people that I wanted to buy gifts for. My kids, nephews, and nieces are typically very easy to please. Toys and video games are their best friends. My dad is a big golfer, so I bought him A Golf Enthusiast golf gift basket. His gift was the easiest for me! And my husband is the biggest wine lover there is. So I purchased him the Picnic a la Francaise wine gift basket. But my mother, god mother, and sisters are sometimes difficult to keep happy.

Considering my mom is the most fashionable person I know, I really wanted to get her a purse and a pair of stilettos. She loves impressionable shoes and of course a purse to match. So, I went to her favorite store, Dillards, and tried to find something that I knew would fit perfect with non-traditional taste.

My journey through Dillard’s was absolutely frustrating. I didn’t realize, before I went, that they don’t carry shoe and purse combination’s. The shoes are in one section and the purses are in a completely different location than shoes. So, I decided to become creative and try to match my own combination’s. Well, that didn’t work. After searching for 2 full hours, I decided to revert to the gift basket idea that I used for my dad and husband.

I rushed home and went my gift basket store! I saw awesome  Christmas gift baskets that I new my mom would love, but unfortunately, it was sold out. So, I purchased her the Gallant Affair gourmet gift basket. It has a ton of items and I know she will love it.

While I was searching the web, I also found 3 more beautiful custom-made gift baskets for my god mother and 2 sisters. I purchased my god mother the Gourmet Traditions basket, my youngest sister the California Party basket, and my middle sister the Best of Season gift basket.

Fortunately, everyone loved their gifts! I was happy and they were too. I even added a gift message with my gift baskets! How nice!

So, the moral of the story is; don’t stress over holiday gifts or special occasions. Gourmet Food & Wine gift baskets are the way to go. They are the easiest most beautiful gifts to give.
